Sydney Youth Orchestra’s Toddlers’ Proms

The Sydney Youth Orchestra’s Toddlers’ Proms are interactive concert series designed to introduce the next generation to the joys of classical music. Especially for young children aged 2-8, John Ockwell will conduct the SYO’s Peter Seymour Orchestra in repertoire from some of history’s most popular and famous composers including Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven.

John Ockwell and musicians from the SYO will also lead children through each section of the orchestra and give hands them a on demonstration of how each instrument creates sound.

The SYO recognises the importance of young children hearing live music, and encourages families to bring even their youngest members. Any child under the age of 18 months who remains in the arms of an adult does not require a ticket.
