DocsVox – NSW Doctors Choir Fauré Open For Registrations

DocsVox – NSW Doctors Choir is excited to announce preparations for its second concert which will be themed around Fauré’s ethereal Requiem. It will be complemented by folk songs and motets, curated and conducted by Anthony Pasquill, with Dr Wei Jiang as soprano soloist. It promises to be a lot of fun with new friendships made and old ones renewed.

If you would like to join for this project, please email docsvox2018@gmail.com. The choir will be rehearsing in Sydney over the weekend of February 15- 16 and on February 29 with the concert on the afternoon of Sunday March 1, at Christ Church St Laurence, Railway Square, Sydney.

There is a Newcastle chapter of the choir which rehearses in Newcastle, joining us on concert weekend. Get in touch with DocsVox if you would like to join this group or if you have any ideas about forming another regional group.

Last year, DocsVox gave its inaugural concert, performing opera choruses and arias to a sell-out audience, conducted by Simon Kenway and featuring Dr Jill Sullivan, mezzo-soprano and soloists from Pacific Opera. Members of DocsVox also recently sang Vivaldi’s Gloria and excerpts from Handel’s Messiah in two pop-up concert at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Sydney.
