The Jerusalem Quartet In Sydney

The Jerusalem Quartet returns to Australia for Musica Viva, to perform a program of masterworks by Beethoven, Haydn and Dvořák. The Jerusalem Quartet will perform two concerts in Sydney, each with a different programme. However, at the heart of  each performance lies the String Quartet no 3, Summer Dances,  a  contemporary musical gem by the iconic Australian composer Ross Edwards.

This ensemble which celebrates its 21st  birthday in 2016, is one of the world’s most popular chamber ensembles with a swag of awards, an extensive discography and a busy concert schedule around the world.

Sydney weekday: BEETHOVEN String Quartet in B-flat major, op 18 no 6/ EDWARDS String Quartet no 3 Summer Dances (Commissioned for Musica Viva Australia by Kim Williams AM in honour of the late Kenneth W Tribe AC)/DVORÁK String Quartet no 13 op 106.

Sydney Weekend: HAYDN String Quartet op 64 no 5 ‘The Lark’/ EDWARDS String Quartet no 3 Summer Dances (Commissioned for Musica Viva Australia by Kim Williams AM in honour of the late Kenneth W Tribe AC)/ BEETHOVEN String Quartet in F major, op 59 no 1 ‘Razumovsky’
