A New Opera Company Launches in Sydney

Sydney has a new opera company!

With a name that reflects Sydney’s brilliant waterfront location and sophistication, Harbour City Opera has been founded to provide opportunities for the many talented emerging and established professionals on stage and behind the scenes to perform fully staged roles in exquisite, well produced operas.

For their opening offering, Harbour City Opera is proud to presents Mozart and Wagner – make a scene.  The exquisite Act 1 from Wagner’s Die Walküre with Green Room award winner David Corcoran, Sarah Sweeting and Green Room award nominee Anthony Mackey, accompanied by pianist Chris Cartner; as well, excerpts from Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte featuring Henry Choo, Qestra Mulqueeny, Chris Lewis, Margaret Plummer, Greg McCreanor, Rachael Cunningham with pianist Thomas Johnson are on the bill for this inaugural concert.

The cast and creative team at Harbour City Opera have established and developing careers in the arts and in opera. They share an abundance of experience and skill. Sharolyn Kimmorley, Glenn Winslade, Brian Castles-Onion, Vicki Watson, Christine Douglas and others will combine their talents promising to deliver only the very best to our deserving audience!
