Four outstanding young pianists will compete in the final round of the Sydney Eisteddfod Allison/Henderson Piano Scholarship. This scholarship has helped launch the careers of some of the nation’s finest pianists.

James Guan and Alexander Yau  from NSW with Queenslanders Aaron Liu and Oliver She will compete for the prize worth $13,500.

Open to eligible pianists aged 16-25, the scholarship was established in 1982 through a significant donation by the late Miss B M Henderson. In 1996  the value of the scholarship was doubled with the tremendous generosity of the late Mr John Allison.
